I believe there is such a thing as an internal “world.” Each and every one of us has one. These worlds are not imaginary. In our minds, they are reality. Just as a writer expresses his world in words, a dancer with movement, and a movie-director, through moving images, I express mine through painting because I am an artist. That is my role, and that is my work.
Morpheus - The Sandman

“I AM. THE LAW!!!”
Judge Dredd.

Shameless plug here for Kara’s work. She’s been working on the world of Rocket Girl, her friend Space Girl and the villainous Lazer Girl for a while now and it’s all starting to come together. These bags are great quality and handmade! Perfect gifts for nerds and girls alike (especially girls that aren’t into princesses or barbie stereotypes).
Get into it and go follow Kara’s Tumblr!
My first RocketGirl bag finished! This was lots of fun to make & I’m looking forward to creating more prints as well. I’m thinking of pricing the bags at about $25 - let me know what you think & shout out if you’re interested! Details of Etsy & Big Cartel sites TBA.
Die Ubermensch
Nazi Germany’s ultimate weapon. Very little is known about him. He is likely extraterrestrial in origin, although where they found him we still don’t know. Perhaps the Tunguska event in Russia in 1908?
Whatever the case he is definitely not of the same species as the survivor of the Roswell crash.
Todesengel by Stewart Cook, appearing in Home Made in 2012.
Killeroo is an Australian Comics icon created by Darren Close in 1995. The pencils on this are by Paul Abstruse and the colour work is by me. This won’t be seeing print, but it was great fun to do.
Digital Colours.
Cassandra Cain will always be THE Batgirl for me.
Ink, white-out and digital colours/blur.
The Devil Is Your Mirror. Ink on board. Tinkering in Photoshop.
MONO is the second solo release from musician John McCall.
Mono is a concept album. 1 voice, 1 guitar, 1 take. An experiment in producing an album in direct opposition to the way most modern albums are done. Given the final results I think this is an amazing release from an indie singer/songwriter. If you live in Australia and happen to be in Adelaide on Wednesday 21st Dec then come along to the launch, all the details are here.
If you want to hear the album or just support a great Australian talent then you can follow John on Facebook here (a digital download will be going up after the launch).
As far as the artwork goes, it’s been my pleasure to put this CD together for John. It’s all digital, with the illustration being done in Manga Studio and the rest of the tweakery in Photoshop.
I wish John all the best with this release, good work mate!
