Pretty proud to announce that The Nexus Point will be finally seeing the bright light of day, 20 years on from it’s creation! For anyone that knew me in high school (or before) then you’ll have some knowledge of this comic, the rest of you just need to know it was inspired by the formation of Image Comics and all the new characters and worlds that exploded out of the early 90’s comic boom (still my favourite period).
Some of these pages go back to about ‘96, some as recent as 2001. I’ve reconstructed the story from photocopies of Robert Halls artwork (no idea where the original stuff is these days), cleaned up a shit tonne of artifacts on said copies and then added dot tone (at 60 line screen just like Kirby used to make), re-worded all the balloons and in some places completely rewritten the dialogue (some of it was incredibly hammy 17 year old enthusiasm fuelled wankery).
The Nexus Point was my very first creative baby, HUGE thanks to Lucas House for putting this out there! Be sure to pick up your copy of Fistfull of Comics when it hits the stands to read it (I’ll let you know the dates when I get them). This is superhero story telling Stewman style, big, loud, full of over the top exposition and stupidly complex subplots! Get into it!!
